Mountain biking is not a safe sport. Strangely enough, that's seems to be part of its appeal. Ask just about any mountain biker whether they've wrecked, and a big smile will spilt their face as they tell you about the cuts, scrapes, bruises, and even broken bones they've endured in their pursuit of the perfect ride.
