This pleasant ride through the eastern foothills of the Magdalena range includes the entrances to the four major canyons: Jordan. Water, South, and Six-mile. The descent to US 60 at the bottom of Sedillo Hill on FR 38 is extremely rough and can be avoided by exiting, instead, on FR 38A which joins US 60 at the top of Sedillo Hill.
